This medicine is not used for common flu and cold symptoms. And not treated for viral infections. This medicine is commonly prescribed for coughs and colds caused by bacterial and parasitic infections.
Available dose strengths (250 mg, and 500 mg) should be given based on the patient's clinical conditions.
This medication is not recommended if you have allergic symptoms such as skin rashes, itching, swelling, difficulty breathing, etc., or if you have liver or kidney disease, bone marrow suppression, diabetes, a low blood cell count, or gastrointestinal disease.
