It is an
important medicinal plant that is used in the treatment of various ailments.
The botanical name for Walnut is Juglans regia Linn which belongs to the
Juglandaceae family. It is rich in Omega-3 fatty acid which helps to reduce
heart diseases.

It is
originated from the United States and Canada. In India, it is cultivated in the
Himalayan belt of Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Northeastern states.
This tree
usually grows in a deciduous region which usually grows 40-130 feet tall and
the leaves are with 5-25 leaflets. The plant is a self-fertile one and the
flowers start to appear in June and the fruits get ripen in October. It is a
monoecious flower that is pollinated by wind.

According
to Ayurveda, diabetes is known as Madhumeha. It occurs due to the imbalance of
Vata and Kapha dosh and impaired digestion. Impaired digestion leads to the

normally by balancing the Vata-Kapha and improves impaired digestion by
