It is found in the Central part of India
which grows up to an altitude of 1300 m and it is also found in the Western Himalayan
region. It is widely distributed in India, Pakistan, and Nepal. In India, it is
found in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West
Bengal, and Sikkim.
It is a perennial plant that grows at a
height of 5-6 m. The leaflets are 12.5-20 cm long and 11-17.5cm in width. The
flowers are inflorescence and the fruits are 5-7.5 cm long and the seeds have
hairs that are brown and silky.
