Drug-Drug Interaction
Amiodarone
Use alternative drugs because the use of amiodarone increases the effect of P-glycoprotein efflux transporter
Cholera vaccine
Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of afatinib decreases the effect of the cholera vaccine by immunosuppressive effects and it also increases the risk of developing infections
Dichlorphenamide
Therapy should be administered with caution because the combination of this medicine decreases serum potassium level
Drug-Food Interaction
Afatinib 40mg should be taken on an empty stomach one hour before the meal or 2 hours after the meal. You should also avoid grapefruit juice while you are receiving this medicine it may increase the Afatinib in blood levels.
