    Arsenox 10mg Injection contains Arsenic Trioxide 10mg used to treat acute promyelocytic leukemia. It works by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells by altering the DNA of abnormal cells. It is used in patients who are not responded to other treatments and it is also used or in combinations with other medicine as first-line treatment.

    Drug-Drug Interaction

    Artemether

    It is contraindicated to use this medicine because the combination of this medicine increases the QTc interval

    Saquinavir

    Use alternative drug because the combination of this medicine either increases the toxicity of the other by pharmacodynamic synergism

    Cholera vaccine

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of arsenic trioxide decreases the effect of cholera vaccine by immunosuppressive effect and it also increases the risk for infection

    Conduction abnormalities

    The use of this medicine may cause QTc interval prolongation so before initiating the treatment with arsenic trioxide kindly check the QTc interval by electrocardiogram

    Encephalopathy

    Wernicke's encephalopathy occurred in patients was treated with arsenic trioxide injection. If you have suspected encephalopathy immediately discontinue arsenic trioxide injection and initiate parenteral thiamine.


    Over Dose

    Take the medicine as directed by the doctor don’t overdose on the medicine. If you have taken an overdose of this medicine immediately meet the doctor and rush to the nearby hospital.


    Missed Dose

    Take the medicine as directed by the doctor. Do not skip the medicine, if you forgot to take the medicine or missed the dose.
