How to Take Axzyb 5mg Tablet

Drug Interaction of Axzyb 5mg Tablet
Drug-Drug Interaction
Amiodarone
Use alternative drugs because the use of amiodarone increases the effect of hepatic and intestinal enzyme metabolism.
Dexlansoprazole
The use of dexlansoprazole will decrease the effect of axitinib by increasing its gastric pH.
Topiramate
Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of topiramate decreases the effect of axitinib by affecting its hepatic and intestinal enzyme metabolism.
Siponimod
Therapy should be administered with caution because the combination of this medicine may increase the immunosuppressive effects and it also increases the risk of developing infections
Drug-Food Interaction
Axitinib 5mg should be taken on an empty stomach one hour before the meal or 2 hours after the meal. You should also avoid grapefruit juice while you are receiving this medicine it may increase the Axitinib 5mg in blood levels.

Hemorrhagic events
Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of this medicine may cause fatal hemorrhagic events including hematuria, cerebral hemorrhage, hemoptysis, lower gastrointestinal hemorrhage, and melena were reported.
GI perforation
Therapy should be administered with caution in patients who are having a history of diverticulitis because they are having an increased risk for developing gastrointestinal perforation.
Hepatic impairment
Systemic exposure to this medicine is higher in patients with moderate hepatic impairment. So kindly monitor the patient's liver enzymes and bilirubin level before initiating the treatment.
Reversible leukoencephalopathy syndrome
Therapy should be administered with caution in patients with seizures, headaches, visual disturbances, confusion, and altered mental function because reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy was reported.
Over Dose
Take the medicine as directed by the doctor don’t overdose on the medicine. If you have taken an overdose of this medicine immediately meet the doctor and rush to the nearby hospital.
Missed Dose
