Azican-LB Tablet contains Azithromycin and Lactic acid bacillus used to treat bacterial infection such as Community-acquired pneumonia, Pharyngitis or Tonsillitis, Uncomplicated skin and skin structure, Acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, Acute bacterial sinusitis, Genital Ulcer diseases, Gonorrhea, Pelvic inflammatory diseases. Mainly this medicine targets the respiratory tract, ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and eye in both adults and children and it is also used to treat typhoid fever and sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhoea. Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that works by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of protein. Lactobacillus is an antidiarrheals/probiotic works by restoring the good bacteria that is killed due to the use of antibiotics. This combination of medicine helps to fight against the growth of microorganisms and it also prevents diarrhoea which is associated with the use of antibiotics. Swallow the whole tablet at once. Don’t break, chew, or crush the tablet.

• Infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis was reported while you are using this medicine
• Long-term use may cause bacterial or fungal overgrowth
• Clostridium difficile associated diarrhoea has been reported
• Kindly avoid this medicine if you did not have a suspected bacterial infection this will increase the risk of developing drug-resistant bacteria.
• The use of this medicine may cause QT prolongation which increases the risk of developing cardiac arrhythmia

Azican-LB Tablet is a regular antibiotic against bacterial infections. particularly used for acute respiratory conditions, ear pains, surgical conditions, skin and soft tissue infections, genital sores, and cancer management. Drug-Drug Interaction

BCG vaccine live

The use of this medicine is contraindicated because the use of medicine decreases the effect of the BCG vaccine live by pharmacodynamic antagonism

Cholera vaccine

Use alternative medicine, because the use of the cholera vaccine with antibiotics may activate the vaccine strain. So, avoid receiving this combination of medicines before 14 days of vaccination

Antithrombin 111

Use alternative drugs because the use of azithromycin increases the effect of azithromycin by decreasing its metabolism.

Digoxin

Ceritinib

Colitis

This medicine kills the good helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhoea. This medicine should be used caution in patients with gastrointestinal disease, especially colitis (swelling of the colon inner lining). It leads to worsening the patient’s health condition.

Myasthenia gravis

Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of macrolide antibiotics trigger the symptoms of myasthenia gravis

Liver disease

Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of azithromycin may cause hepatotoxicities like abnormal liver function, hepatitis, cholestatic jaundice, necrosis, and hepatic failure.

QT prolongation

Therapy should be administered with caution in patients who are having a history of bradyarrhythmia, proarrhythmic like uncorrected hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia because the use of azithromycin itself may cause cardiac repolarization and QT interval.
