Cabotib 20 Tablet contains Carbozantinib 20 used to treat renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer), Hepatocellular carcinoma (hepatic cancer), and Thyroid cancer by killing the cancer cells. It is not recommended for children.

Cabotib 20 Tablet contains Cabozantinib 20 is an anti-cancer medication, Tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It produces its action by targeting several tyrosine kinase proteins which are present on surface receptors and intracellular structures of VEGF receptors, cytokine receptors called kit, RET, MET, and TIE2, etc. In general, these receptors signal angiogenesis and decrease apoptosis function. Cabozantinib inhibits signals of angiogenesis and decreases the size of the tumor by starvation and increases apoptosis function.

Cabotib 20 Tablet contains Cabozantinib 20 is an anti-cancer medication, Tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It produces its action by inhibiting tyrosine kinase protein present in epithelial growth factor receptors which are present in the intracellular and extracellular surface. Thus, the signaling process for angiogenesis and proliferation of abnormal cells is inhibited. This results in the shrinking of tumor cells and cell death thus controlling and treating various cancers.

How to Take Cabotib 20 Tablet
Cabotib 20 Tablet is taken orally with or without food. You should not chew, cut or crush the tablet. Initially start with a low dose and slowly increase the dose once every week. Drug Interaction of Cabotib 20 Tablet
Drug-Drug Interaction
Armodafinil
Use alternative drugs because the use of armodafinil will decrease the effect of cabozantinib by affecting its hepatic and intestinal enzyme metabolism.
Dichlorphenamide
Therapy should be administered with caution because the combination of this medicine decreases the level of serum potassium
Palifermin
Use alternative drugs because the use of palifermin increases the toxicity of the other by increasing the severity and duration of oral mucositis
Drug-Food Interaction
Food may interfere with this medicine so it is better to take this medicine on an empty stomach, one hour before or 2 hours after your meal. Do not consume grapefruit unless it is advised by the doctor because it may increase the blood levels of cabozantinib.
Drug-Disease Interaction
Hemorrhagic events
Therapy should be administered with caution in patients with severe hemorrhage because the use of this medicine itself may cause fatal hemorrhagic events.
GI perforation
Therapy should be administered with caution in patients who are having a history of diverticulitis. Kindly discontinue the treatment if you have experienced fistula
Hepatic impairment
Kindly adjust the dose in patients who are with mild to moderate hepatic impairment because increased exposure is observed in patients with mild to moderate liver dysfunction
Reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome
Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of cabozantinib causes reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome. Closely monitor the patients
Thromboembolism
Therapy should be administered with caution in patients with thromboembolism because arterial and venous thromboembolic events have been reported while you are using cabozantinib
Over Dose
Take the medicine as directed by the doctor don’t overdose on the medicine. If you have taken an overdose of this medicine immediately meet the doctor and rush to the nearby hospital.
Missed Dose
Take the medicine as directed by the doctor. Do not skip the medicine, if you forgot to take the medicine or missed the dose. It is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Don’t take the extra dose take the regular dose immediately. Don’t use the two-dose at one time (Double Dose).
