    Ciprogyl Syrup contains Ciprofloxacin 100mg and Metronidazole 125mg used to treat diarrhea and dysentery that occurs due to bacterial or parasitic infections. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic that helps to inhibit the growth of infection. Metronidazole is a Nitroimidazole derivative Antibacterial and Antiprotozoal drug which kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria. The combination of these medicines inhibits the growth of microbes that cause infections. This medicine is not used for common flu and cold symptoms that occur due to viral infections. This medicine is commonly prescribed for cough and colds caused by bacterial infections.

And muscle damage also occurs usually on the tendons surrounding the muscles. It may experience pain, numbness, or tingling sensations in your muscles. It should be a risk in patients of more than 60 years of age or undergone a transplant of kidney, heart, or lung. If necessary, then needs dose adjustment or replacement

    Drug-Drug Interaction

    Dronabinol

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of Metronidazole increases the toxicity of dronabinol by inhibiting aldehyde dehydrogenase

    Flibanserin

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of metronidazole will increase the effect of flibanserin by affecting its hepatic and intestinal enzyme metabolism

    Mebendazole

    Use alternative drug because the use of mebendazole increase the toxicity of metronidazole by increasing the risk of developing toxic epidermal necrolysis

    Warfarin

     Use alternative drugs because the use of metronidazole increases the effect of warfarin by decreasing its metabolism

    BCG vaccine live

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of ciprofloxacin decreases the effect of the BCG vaccine live by pharmacodynamic antagonism

    Flibanserin

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of ciprofloxacin will increase the effect of flibanserin by affecting the patient hepatic and intestinal enzyme metabolism

    Aluminum hydroxide

    Use alternative drugs because the use of aluminum hydroxide decreases the level of ciprofloxacin by inhibiting GI absorption.

    Drug-Food Interaction

    By using this medicine with dairy products, multivitamins with minerals should be maintained time gap at least 2 to 4 hours before or 4 to 6 hours after taking this medicine.

    Central nervous system disorders

    Using this medicine is needs caution in patients with seizures, other central nervous system abnormalities, or fits. It causes hallucinations, anxiety, confusion, and restlessness, etc. Inform the doctor, then will do dose adjustment or replacement is needed. If necessary to take this medicine with seizure medications.

    Colitis

    This medicine kills the good helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. This drug should be used caution in patients with gastrointestinal disease, especially colitis (swelling of the colon inner lining). It leads to worsening the patient’s health condition.

    QT prolongation

    This drug should be used with caution in patients with heart-related problems such as irregular heart rate, in which this drug alters the heart rate.

    Neurologic toxicity

    Blood Dyscrasias

    Over Dose
