Medical Description of Cyblex MV 80.2 Tablet
Cyblex MV 80.2 Tablet is an anti-diabetic drug used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus to the patient who cannot control diabetes by diet and exercise. Consume the tablet before the meals. It is the combination of Gliclazide, Metformin, and Voglibose. The combination of this drug lowers the blood sugar level by increasing the amount of insulin that is released by the pancreas and it also lowers the production of glucose in the liver and delays the glucose absorption from the intestines.

It is the combination of three medicines
Voglibose is an anti-diabetic drug it inhibits the intestinal enzyme by delaying the hydrolysis of ingested complex disaccharides, carbohydrates, and the absorption of glucose. And it also inhibits the metabolism of sucrose converting into glucose and fructose.
Gliclazide increases the effect of beta-cell insulin secretion and it also decreases the production of hepatic glucose and increases the sensitivity of insulin receptors.
Metformin is a biguanide that produces its action by decreasing the production of hepatic and GI glucose absorption, it also increases the insulin sensitivity

Drug-Drug Interaction
Acebutolol + Gliclazide
Acebutolol increases the effect of Gliclazide when used in combinations. Use with caution
Albendazole + Gliclazide
Metabolism of gliclazide can be decreased when combined with albendazole. Use alternative drug
Amlodipine + Gliclazide
A combination of this drug may increase the risk of hypoglycemia, use with caution
Beclomethasone + Gliclazide
A combination of this drug may increase the risk of hypoglycemia, use with caution
Ethanol + Metformin
Ethanol increases the toxicity of metformin by others. More consumption of ethanol may alter glycemic control and may produce a disulfram like reaction. It is contraindicated to use.
Ranolazine + Metformin
Ranolazine increases the effect of metformin by decreasing its elimination. Use alternative drug
Tranylcypromine + Metformin

Cardiovascular risk

Glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency

Hyponatremia

Lactic acidosis
Use of Metformin to the patient who is having renal dysfunction, liver disease, congestive heart failure, dehydration, shock, myocardial infarction may lead to developing lactic acidosis. Kindly use with caution.
Hypoglycemia
During anti-diabetic medication, patients can experience hypoglycemia. Use with caution to the patient who is having adrenal insufficiency, autonomic neuropathy and receiving beta-adrenergic blocking agent
Vitamin B12 deficiency
Prolonged use of metformin can interfere in the absorption of vitamin b12 in the stomach. It may lead to anemia, tingling sensation, numbness in hands and feet, and ataxia. To avoid this effect kindly take the vitamin b12 from outside sources once a year
Cirrhosis
The use of Voglibose tablet to the patient who is having cirrhosis is contraindicated.
Intestinal disease
Use Voglibose inhibits the intestinal enzymes this is contraindicated to the patient who is having inflammatory bowel disease, colonic ulceration, and intestinal obstruction.
Over Dose
Consuming more amount of tablets than the prescribed dose may lead to overdose. Kindly use the medicine as per your doctor advice
