Cefaclor is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. It blocks the bacterial cell wall synthesis which is essential for bacterial growth. Mainly this bacterial infection targets the lungs, nose, ears, skin and soft tissues, kidneys, and urinary tract. Drug-Drug Interaction
BCG vaccine live
The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of medicine decreases the effect of the BCG vaccine live by pharmacodynamic antagonism
Estradiol
Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of Cefaclor will decrease the effect of estradiol by altering the intestinal flora and it also decreases the risk of contraceptive failure
Probenecid
Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of Cefaclor increases the effect of probenecid by acidic drug competition or renal tubular clearance.
Furosemide
The use of Cefaclor increases the toxicity of furosemide by pharmacodynamic synergism and it also increases the risk for developing nephrotoxicity.
