    Evermil 5mg tablet contains Everolimus 5mg is an antineoplastic agent which is used for the prevention of organ rejection in organ transplanted patients. It produces its action by regulating our body’s immune response which helps our body to accept the new organ. In combination with other drugs, it is used to treat breast, pancreas, lungs, and kidney cancers.

    Graft rejection:

    It occurs when our body's immune system attacks the graft donated and it started to destroy the organs transplanted. It is caused by antibodies that act against the graft and it begins within minutes to hours as soon as grafting.

    Breast cancer:

    It is a type of cancer that forms in the breast cells. It is common among women. Symptoms include breast lump, change in breast size, redness, pitting of the skin, color change, and peeling surrounding the breast skin or nipple. This medicine helps to inhibit the multiplication of cancer cells.

    Pancreatic cancer:

    It usually starts in the tissue of your pancreas, the organ in your abdomen which lies behind the stomach. Smoking, diabetes pancreatitis, obesity may increase the chance of developing pancreatic cancer. Symptoms include abdominal pain, loss of appetite, yellow color of skin, light-colored stools, itchy skin, dark-colored urine, blood clots, and fatigue. This medicine helps to inhibit the multiplication of cancer cells.

    Non-small cell lung cancer:

    It is the common type of lung cancer and it grows, spreads slowly when compared with small lung cell cancer. Smoking is the common cause of non-small cell lung cancers. Symptom includes fatigue, weight loss, shortness of breath, loss of appetite, coughing up with cough or phlegm, and cough. This medicine helps to inhibit the multiplication of cancer cells.

    Renal cell carcinoma:

    It is also called hypernephroma, renal adenocarcinoma, and kidney cancer. It is commonly found in adults. Factors that increase the risk of kidney cancer include older age, smoking, obesity, hypertension, family history.     Mechanism of action of Evermil 5mg Tablet

    Evermil 5mg tablet contains Everolimus 5mg is an anti-cancer medication, a mammalian target of rapamycin kinase (mTOR), and a serine-threonine kinase inhibitor. It produces its action by binding with the FKBP-12, an intracellular protein and thus inhibiting the mTOR kinase pathway. It also reduces the activity of the S6 ribosomal protein kinase and eukaryotic initiation factor 4E-binding protein. Everolimus inhibits the hypoxia-inducible factor expression and also reduces the expression of vascular endothelial growth factors.

    Drug Interaction of Evermil 5mg Tablet

    Drug-Drug Interaction

    BCG vaccine live

    It is contraindicated to use this medicine because the use of immunosuppressants increase the risk for infection with live vaccines

    Apalutamide

    Use alternative drugs because the use of apalutamide will decrease the effect of Everolimus by affecting its hepatic and intestinal enzyme metabolism.

    Pregabalin

    Use alternative drugs because the combination of this medicine increases the toxicity of the other

    Bosutinib

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of bosutinib increases the effect of Everolimus by P-glycoprotein efflux transporter

    Dichlorphenamide

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the combination of this medicine decreases the serum potassium

    Drug-Food Interaction

    Kindly avoid consuming grapefruit and grapefruit juice while you are receiving this medicine because the use of grapefruit increases the level of Everolimus in your body and causes serious side effects.

    Drug-Disease Interaction

    Renal diseases:

    Therapy should be administered with caution in patients with renal impairment because the use of this medicine may cause acute renal failure and increase the serum creatinine and proteinuria level.

    GI perforation:

    Therapy should be administered with caution in patients who increased the risk for gastrointestinal perforation because the use of this medicine cause bowel perforation

    Liver diseases:

    Therapy should be administered with caution in patients with mild hepatic impairment. And dose reduction or adjustment should depend upon the AST and bilirubin level

    Lung dysfunctions:

    Closely monitor the patients for the occurrence of respiratory symptoms because the use of Everolimus may lead to interstitial lung diseases

    Infections:

    Therapy should be administered with caution in patients with an infection because the use of this medicine decreases the resistance to host and increase the bacterial, fungal, viral, and protozoal infection, and reactivate the viral infection

     


    Over Dose

    Take the medicine as directed by the doctor don’t overdose on the medicine. If you have taken an overdose of this medicine immediately meet the doctor and rush to the nearby hospital.


    Missed Dose

    Take the medicine as directed by the doctor. Do not skip the medicine, if you forgot to take the medicine or missed the dose. It is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Don’t take the extra dose take the regular dose immediately. Don’t use the two-dose at one time (Double Dose).
