How to Take Fiboresp 200mg Tablet
The tablet is taken orally by mouth thrice daily with food. Do not chew, crush or break the capsule. Follow the direction mentioned in the label if you did not understand the application kindly ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain the details. Do not discontinue the medicine when you feel better kindly consult with your doctor.
If you are taking the tablet initially start with a low dose and gradually increase the dose when over 2 weeks period.

Drug Interaction of Fiboresp 200mg Tablet
Drug-Drug Interaction
Carbamazepine + Pirfenidone
Carbamazepine decreases the effect of pirfenidone by affecting the hepatic enzymes metabolism. The use of this drug is contraindicated.
Aminolevulinic acid + Pirfenidone
A combination of this drug either increases the toxicity of the other by pharmacodynamic synergism. Use alternative drug
Cimetidine + Pirfenidone
Cimetidine increases the effect of pirfenidone by affecting the hepatic enzyme metabolism. Use alternative drug
Ciprofloxacin + Pirfenidone
Ciprofloxacin increases the effect of pirfenidone by affecting the hepatic enzyme metabolism. Use alternative drugs.
Drug-Food Interaction
Smoking may alter the effect of pirfenidone so the patient should not smoke while taking pirfenidone
Drug-Disease Interaction
Hepatic impairment
The patient who is taking pirfenidone has been noticed that there is an increase in ALT and AST levels with or without an increase in bilirubin. Pirfenidone should be administered with caution to the patient with mild to moderate hepatic impairment.
Renal impairment:
Pirfenidone should be administered with caution to the patient with mild to moderate, severe renal impairment due to serious side effects.
Over Dose
Consuming more tablets than the prescribed dose may lead to overdose. Kindly use the medicine as per your doctor advice
Missed Dose
If you missed the dose take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose skip the missed dose and continue with a regular dose
