- Cefepime 1000mg is a fourth generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat the bacterial infections. It blocks the bacterial cell wall synthesis which is essential for bacterial growth. Tazobactam 125mg is a β lactamase inhibitor to inhibit the β lactamase enzyme produced by bacteria. This enzyme destroys the action of antibiotics. This drug combination together prevents infections effectively.

Cefepime 1000mg is an antibiotic used to treat severe bacterial infections. Mainly this bacterial infection targets the lungs, nose, skin and soft tissues, bone and joints, kidney, heart, blood, abdomen, and urinary tract. Tazobactam 125mg is a β lactamase inhibitor. It should be given with antibiotic, which works by inhibiting the β lactamase enzyme (destroys the action of antibiotics) produced by bacteria. The combination of this medicine helps to fight against microbes and also prevents the growth of bacteria. Drug-Drug Interaction
BCG vaccine live
The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of medicine decreases the effect of the BCG vaccine live by pharmacodynamic antagonism
Cholera vaccine
Use alternative drugs, because the use of the cholera vaccine with antibiotics may activate the vaccine strain. So, avoid receiving this combination of medicines before 14 days of vaccination
Estradiol
Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of cefepime will decrease the effect of estradiol by altering the intestinal flora and it also lowers the risk of contraceptive failure
Warfarin
Therapy should be administered with caution because the combination of this drug may decrease the vitamin K producing intestinal flora and increase the INR level after a few days
Furosemide
The use of cefepime increase the toxicity of furosemide by pharmacodynamic synergism and it also increases the risk of developing nephrotoxicity
