Indivir capsule contains Indinavir 400mg. Indivir (Indinavir (400mg)) capsule is an antiretroviral medicine used in the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) – 1 infection. Indivir capsule is a protease inhibitor. Indivir capsule works by reducing the viral load of HIV in your body. Indivir capsule improves your immune system and reduces the risk of conditions associated with HIV infection. Indivir capsule is used in combination with other antiretrovirals for efficiency.

Indivir (Indinavir (400mg)) capsule is used to treat adults only who are infected by HIV-1. It must be taken in combination with other anti-HIV medicines. Your doctor will discuss which combination of medicines is best for you.

Indivir (Indinavir (400mg)) capsule is used with other anti-HIV medication to help control HIV infection. Indivir capsule helps to decrease the amount of HIV virus in your body thus your immunity works better by reducing your chance of getting HIV complications like co-infections and other cancers. Indivir capsule is a protease inhibitor. Indivir capsule is not a cure for HIV infection, it improves immunity that results in longevity of life. Indivir capsule is not recommended for use in children due to the increased risk of serious side effects.

Very common side effects that occur in more than 1:10 patients: headache, rash, nausea, vomiting, altered taste sensations, indigestion or diarrhoea, stomach pain, dizziness, fatigue.

Common side effects that occur 1:10 patients: fluctuance, itching, dry mouth, acid reflux, muscle pain, pain on urination, difficulty to sleep, feeling numb or unusual feeling of the skin.

Uncommon side effects that occur 1:100 patients: Lactic acidosis, Pancreatitis, elevations in serum amylase, Hepatitis, Angioedema, Rhabdomyolysis, Peripheral neuropathy

The regular food intake must be high caloric – fat and protein-rich

After therapy has been initiated, do not take more or less of Indivir than prescribed or stop taking it without your physicians’ approval. • Lactose intolerance or galactose malabsorption

Drug-Food Interaction
