Cefdinir 300mg is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in children. Mainly bacterial infection targets the ear, eyes, nose, throat, lungs, skin, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. This medicine is not used for common flu and cold symptoms that occur due to viral infections. This medicine is commonly prescribed for cough and colds caused by bacterial infections.

    Drug Interaction of Kefnir 300mg Capsule

    Drug-Drug Interaction

    BCG vaccine live

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of medicine decreases the effect of the BCG vaccine live by pharmacodynamic antagonism.

    Estradiol

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of Cefdinir will decrease the effect of estradiol by altering the intestinal flora and it also decreases the risk of contraceptive failure.

    Probenecid

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of Cefdinir increases the effect of probenecid by acidic drug competition or renal tubular clearance.

    Furosemide

    The use of Cefdinir increases the toxicity of furosemide by pharmacodynamic synergism and it also increases the risk for developing nephrotoxicity.
