    Lavir Tablet contains Lamivudine 150mg. Lavir (Lamivudine (150mg)) tablet is an antiviral medicine used in the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) – 1 infection. It is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor.Lavir tablet improves your immune system and reduces the risk of conditions associated with HIV infection. Lavir tablet is used in combination with other antivirals for efficiency. It is not used in cases of HBV.

    Lavir (Lamivudine (150mg)) tablet is used to treat adults and children above 14kgs weight who are infected by HIV-1. It must be taken in combination with other anti-HIV medicines. Your doctor will discuss which combination of medicines is best for you.

Lamivudine is phosphorylated to its active forms Lavir tablet triphosphate that incorporated into the nucleotide and inhibits the action of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase. Thus, the active HIV molecule becomes inactive and further reproduction and multiplication process is stopped.

    • Musculoskeletal problems - Osteonecrosis that causes joint stiffness and pain in larger joints like shoulder, hip, and knee

If you take twice a day dosage, then the missed dosage if you notice within 6 hours. If it is more than 6 hours, then skip the dosage and take the next doses as usual.
