Lifart 50mg tablet contains Artesunate used to treat malaria. Artesunate is an antimalarial drug, results in interacting with certain substances which are required for the malarial parasite present in the blood to do its vital functions. Then it eradicates the malarial infection caused by Plasmodium falciparum strains of malarial parasite. It is particularly used to treat malaria disease (resistant to other antimalarial medicines). Also, used to treat uncomplicated malaria disease with a combination of other antimalarial medicines. This medicine does not prevent or treat severe malaria where it has affected the brain, lungs, and kidneys.
