Mycofit-S360 Tablet contains Mycophenolate sodium 360mg an immunosuppressant used with other medicine to prevent your body from organ rejection in patients who have undergone kidney transplants. It produces its action by reducing the activity of our immune system so that it will not attack the transplanted organs.

Mycofit-S360 Tablet is used to prevent organ rejection in the transplant patients

It occurs when the immune system attacks the organ donated and started to destroy the transplanted organs. It is caused by antibodies that act against the organ and it begins within minutes to hours as soon as organ transplantation.

The Mycofit-S360 Tablet is prescribed for the following indications to prevent organ rejection

• Can Mycofit-S360 tablets cause cancer?

Yes, the use of this tablet may increase the chance of developing skin cancer, lymphoma and sarcomas, and cervical cancer. Kindly consult with your doctor if you have noticed any changes in your body.

• How long does Mycofit-S360 tablet take to start working?

Usually, it takes 3-12 weeks to start working and it depends upon the severity of the patient. Do not withdraw the drug without consulting with your doctor

• What happens if I forget to take the Mycofit-S360 tablet?

If you missed the dose take it as soon as you remember do not take the tablet between the meals. If it is time for the next dose skip the missed dose and continue with a regular dose

The tablet is taken orally with or without food but it is better to take this medicine at a fixed time. You should not chew, cut or crush the tablet. Take this medicine as per the dose and duration advised by your doctor. • You have a history of gastrointestinal disease
• You are not responding to the treatment
• You have experienced any allergic reactions like rashes and itching
• You are suffering from anemia
• You have watery diarrhea, stomach pain, and fever

Drug-Drug Interaction

Anthrax vaccine + Mycophenolate sodium

Mycophenolate sodium increases the effect of the anthrax vaccine by pharmacodynamic antagonism. Immunosuppressants increase the risk of infection in combination with live vaccines

Rabies vaccine + Mycophenolate sodium  

Mycophenolate sodium decreases the effect of the rabies vaccine by pharmacodynamic antagonism. Immunosuppressants interfere in the development of immunity.

Anakinra + Mycophenolate sodium

Use alternative drug because the combination of these drugs increases the effect of immunosuppressant and increase the risk of infections.

Drug-Food Interaction

The food may affect the absorption of the medicine so it is advised to take this medicine on an empty stomach or take it either 1 hour before or after your meals

Infection

Therapy should be administered with caution in patients with a history of active infection because the use of this medicine is more prone to infection

Bleeding

Therapy should be administered with caution in patients with stomach ulcers or bleeding because the use of this medicine may worsen the condition of the patients

Take the medicine as directed by the doctor don’t overdose on the medicine. If you have taken an overdose on this medicine immediately meet the doctor and rush to the nearby hospital.

It is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Don’t take the extra dose take the regular dose immediately. Don’t use the two-dose at one time (Double Dose).
