Mechanism of action of Myospaz D Tablet
Myospaz D Tablet contains Diclofenac 50mg and Metaxalone 400mg. Diclofenac is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication. It produces its action by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX-1) and (COX-2). Thus it inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins which is responsible for pain and inflammation. It also inhibits the aggregation and activation of neutrophil and chemotaxis, decreases the proinflammatory cytokine level, and alter the activity of lymphocyte.
Metaxalone is a muscle relaxant that produces its action by working in the center of your brain and spinal cord and relieves stiffness of your muscle and it also helps to improve the pain and muscle movement.

Asthma

Hypertension
Therapy should be administered with caution in patients with hypertension because the use of NSAIDs may increase blood pressure and cardiovascular events. During this course of treatment monitor the patient blood pressure
Renal toxicities
Therapy should be administered with caution in a patient with renal diseases because the use of NSAIDs may increase the serum creatinine, BUN, tubular necrosis, glomerulus, renal papillary necrosis, nephrotic syndrome, and cause renal failure.
Anemia
