    Medical Description of MyZomib 2mg Injection

    MyZomib 2mg Injection contains Bortezomib 2mg used to treat Mantle cell lymphoma, and Multiple myeloma. It works by inhibiting the growth and multiplication by increasing the number of proteins in the cancer cells. It is not recommended in pediatrics.

    It is also called Kahler’s disease. It is a type of cancer that occurs in a plasma cell. In this condition, cancer gets accumulated in the bone marrow and affects healthy blood cells. Symptoms include constipation, loss of appetite, fatigue, bone pain, weight loss, frequent infections, excessive thirst, and numbness in your legs.

    Mantle cell lymphoma

    It is a type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer. It usually affects a part of your immune system called the lymphatic system.     MyZomib 2mg Injection contains Bortezomib 2mg is an anti-cancer medication, Proteasome inhibitors. It produces its action by targeting the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. This alters regulatory protein like NF-kB activation which is required for signaling and cell growth, survival, and metastasis of abnormal cells. Thus, inhibiting the action of proteasome results in the ceasing of the cell cycle that causes proliferation of abnormal cells and induces apoptosis.

    Drug Interaction of MyZomib 2mg Injection

    Drug-Drug Interaction

    Eliglustat

    It is contraindicated to use this medicine because the use of bortezomib increases the effect of eliglustat by affecting its hepatic and intestinal enzyme metabolism

    Mefloquine

    Use alternative drugs because the use of mefloquine increases the toxicity of bortezomib by QTc interval

    Benazepril

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the combination of this medicine either increases the effect of the other by pharmacodynamic synergism and it also increases the risk of developing hypotension

    Clopidogrel

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of bortezomib decreases the effect of clopidogrel by decreasing its metabolism

    Dichlorphenamide

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the combination of this medicine decreases the serum potassium

    Drug-Food Interaction

    Consuming green tea interferes with the antitumor effect of bortezomib. Kindly avoid green tea while you are receiving this medicine.

    Drug-Disease Interaction

    Cardiac toxicity

    The use of this medicine may cause acute development of congestive heart failure and decrease left ventricular ejection fraction.

    Diabetes

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of this medicine may cause hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia

    Hepatotoxicity

    Therapy should be administered with caution in patients with hepatic impairment because the use of this medicine may cause acute liver failure, hepatitis and also increase liver enzymes and hyperbilirubinemia.
