    Nelfin tablet contains Nelfinavir 625mg. Nelfin (Nelfinavir (625mg)) tablet is an antiviral medicine used in the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) – 1 infection. Nelfin tablet is a protease inhibitor. Nelfin tablet works by reducing the viral load of HIV in your body. Nelfin tablet improves your immune system and reduces the risk of conditions associated with HIV infection. Nelfin tablet is used in combination with other antivirals for efficiency.

    Nelfin (Nelfinavir (625mg)) tablet is used to treat adults only who are infected by HIV-1. Nelfin tablet must be taken in combination with other anti-HIV medicines. Your doctor will discuss which combination of medicines is best for you.

    Mechanism of action of Nelfin 625mg Tablet

    Nelfin tablet contains Nelfinavir 625mg. Nelfinavir is a Protease inhibitor. Protease inhibitors are used as a part of highly active antiviral therapy (HAART) in HIV-infected patients. Nelfinavir prevents HIV replication by binding to this specific enzyme thus selectively inhibits the cleavage of HIV-1 encoded Gag-Pol polyproteins in cells affected by the virus, thereby preventing the formation of mature virus particles into infectious virions that spreads the infection.

    How to Take Nelfin 625mg Tablet

    Nelfin (Nelfinavir (625mg)) tablet is taken orally with food at a regular time

    Nelfin tablet can be taken by a child as an oral powder or crush the tablet but do not divide the crushed dosage.

    After therapy has been initiated, do not take more or less of Nelfin medicine than prescribed or stop taking it without your physicians’ approval. Skipping or changing the Nelfin tablet dose without approval may cause the amount of the virus to increase making the infection more difficult to treat, or worsen side effects.


    Use of Nelfin 625mg Tablet in Adult

    If you are pregnant or breastfeeding inform your physician as they are not advisable.

    The recommended dosage for Nelfin tablet is 1250mg taken twice per day or 750mg taken twice per day

    Other general warnings

    In general, if you take once a day dosage, the missed single dose of Nelfin (Nelfinavir (625mg)) tablet can be taken within the next 12 hrs, you can take it. If it is more than 12 hrs, skip the dose and take the next dose at the recommended time. Don’t take a double dose for a forgotten dose.
