Nevimune tablet contains Nevirapine 200mg. Nevimune (Nevirapine (200mg)) tablet is an antiviral medicine used in the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)-1 infection. Nevimune tablet is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. Nevirapine works by acting on reverse transcriptase which is required for HIV active particles multiplication process thus reduces viral load of HIV in your body. Nevimune tablet is used in combination with other antiviral HIV medications.

Nevimune (Nevirapine (200mg)) tablet causes severe and fatal fulminant hepatitis. The risk is higher during the first 6 weeks of treatment thus close monitoring is advised. It causes abnormal liver function values like elevation of GGT thus close monitoring is advised and after 2 months of treatment monitoring with blood work for signs of jaundice is advised every 2 weeks and after 3 months of treatment monthly blood work is advised.
How to Take Nevimune 200mg Tablet
Nevimune (Nevirapine (200mg)) tablet should not be taken alone and must be combined with at least 2 other antivirals.
Nevimune tablet is taken orally with food.
Swallow Nevimune tablet as a whole.
Don’t crush, break or chew Nevimune tablet.
After therapy has been initiated, do not take more or less of Nevimune than prescribed or stop taking it without your physicians’ approval.
