Mechanism of action of Nexvir Z Tablet

Nexvir Z tablet contains Lamivudine 150mg , Zidovudine 300mg and Nevirapine 200mg. Zidovudine is HIV-1 nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. Zidovudine is phosphorylated to its active forms Zidovudine triphosphate that is incorporated into the nucleotide and inhibits the action of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase. Lamivudine is HIV-1 nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. Lamivudine is phosphorylated to its active forms lamivudine triphosphate that is incorporated into the nucleotide and inhibits the action of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase. Nevirapine is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor that binds to reverse transcriptase of HIV-1 particle thus blocks RNA and DNA dependant DNA polymerase actions that is required for replication of HIV-1. Thus, the active HIV molecule becomes inactive and further reproduction and multiplication process is stopped.

    How Nexvir Z Tablet works

Nexvir Z (Lamivudine (150mg) + Zidovudine (300mg) + Nevirapine (200mg)) tablet has both HIV-1 nucleoside and non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. Nexvir Z tablet inhibits the action of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase enzyme by incorporating themselves into the nucleotide sequence and blocks the action of RNA and DNA dependent DNA polymerase required for replication of HIV-1 and inhibits the action of the reverse transcriptase of HIV-1, thereby preventing the formation of mature virus particles into infectious virions that spreads the infection and improves immunity.
