    Medical Description of Panista 40mg Tablet

    Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), anti-ulcer agents used to treat to stomach, and duodenal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Erosive Esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It decreases the stomach acid secretion. It relieves ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection, used in combination with antibiotics like amoxicillin, or clarithromycin, and a metronidazole, or tinidazole. Furthermore, it is used to treats the stress ulcers and acid secretion during the intake of painkillers (NSAIDs).

It caused due to excess acid production back flow from stomach to esophagus, resulting a condition called Erosive esophagitis; it should irritate, and damages the lining of the esophagus. This medicine is used to treat this acid suppression in the stomach.

    Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

    Panista 40mg Tablet Indication

    Panista Tablet consists of Pantoprazole is used in the treatment of the following conditions such as Erosive esophagitis, Gastroesophageal reflux disease, Helicobacter pylori infection, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and Gastro- duodenal ulcers. 

    Pantoprazole can also prescribe with the combination of antibiotic (amoxicillin, or clarithromycin), and a metronidazole, or tinidazole to treat H.Pylori infection. Also used to treat with the stress ulcers, arises due to intake of NSAIDs.The course of this medicine is up to 8 weeks, infection not suppress, increase the course for more than 8 weeks in some cases. But, in children should not be given more than 8 weeks. Swallow whole tablet at once. Don’t break, chewed, or crushed the tablet.


    Mechanism of action of Panista 40mg Tablet

    Pantoprazole acts on the final step of gastric acid secretion; it blocks the acid releasing gastric parietal cell of the stomach. Parietal cell of the stomach contains H+/K+ ATP Pumps, helps in acid secretion, and then inhibits the acid production by blocking these H+K+ ATP pumps. This action will lastsup to 24 hours, in between, more pumps will produced by the stomach, this indicates need to take next dose to prevent the acid production in the stomach.
