    Panmax D Tablet contains Pantoprazole 20mg and Domperidone 10mg. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), an anti-ulcer agent used to relieve acid-related indigestion and heartburn in the stomach. Domperidone is a Dopamine-2 receptor antagonist that acts as a prokinetic that works on the upper digestive tract allow food easily through the stomach.

    This tablet is contraindicated to allergic symptoms such as skin rashes, itching, swelling, breathing difficulties, etc, liver dysfunction, vitamin, and mineral deficiency, heart diseases, and pituitary gland tumour (prolactin imbalance).

    Mechanism of action of Panmax D Tablet

    This combination shows an effect on the dopaminergic receptors without causing any release of the chemical dopamine. Domperidone decreases bowel movement facilitates gastric emptying. Pantoprazole blocks the acid releasing gastric parietal cell of the stomach. Parietal cell of the stomach contains H+/K+ ATP Pumps, which helps in acid secretion. Pantoprazole inhibits acid production by blocking these H+K+ ATP pumps, results the blocking of acid secretion.
