Pentagon 40mg Injection contains Pantoprazole 40mg. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), an anti-ulcer agent used to treat to stomach, and duodenal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Erosive Esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It decreases stomach acid secretion. It relieves ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection, used in combination with antibiotics like amoxicillin, or clarithromycin, and metronidazole, or tinidazole. Furthermore, it is used to treats stress ulcers and acid secretion during the intake of painkillers (NSAIDs).

This medicine is contraindicated to allergic symptoms such as skin rashes, itching, swelling, breathing difficulties, etc, liver dysfunction, vitamin, and mineral deficiency.

Used in the treatment of the following conditions as Erosive esophagitis, Gastroesophageal reflux disease, Helicobacter pylori infection, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and Gastroduodenal ulcers.

Erosive esophagitis

The swelling of the oesophagus (muscular tube that helps food moves from the throat to the stomach) is called Esophagitis. This medicine is used to treat this acid suppression in the stomach.
