    Pulmocef LZ Tablet contains Cefuroxime Axetil 500mg and Linezolid 600mg used to treat bacterial infections such as Urinary tract infection, Sinusitis, Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis, Lower respiratory tract infections, Otitis media, Skin and soft tissue infections, Bacterial septicemia, Gonorrhea, and Lyme disease. Mainly this medicine targets the ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and skin structures, blood, bones, joints, and urinary tract infections and is also used to prevent the infections that occur during surgery. Cefuroxime axetil is an antibiotic that inhibits the bacterial cell wall.  Linezolid is a monoamine oxidase inhibitor used to treat bacterial infection by inhibiting the initial process of bacterial synthesis. The combination of this medicine helps to fight against microbes and also prevents the growth of bacteria. This medicine is not used for common flu and cold symptoms that occur due to viral infections. This medicine is commonly prescribed for cough and colds caused by bacterial infections.     BCG vaccine live

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of medicine decreases the effect of the BCG vaccine live by pharmacodynamic antagonism

    Cholera vaccine

    Use alternative drugs, because the use of the cholera vaccine with antibiotics may activate the vaccine strain. So, avoid receiving this combination of medicines before 14 days of vaccination

    Warfarin

    Use alternative drugs because the use of cefuroxime will increase the effect of warfarin by anticoagulation

    Estradiol:

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of cefuroxime will decrease the effect of estradiol by altering the intestinal flora and it also lowers the risk of contraceptive failure

    Albuterol

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of linezolid increase the effect of albuterol by pharmacodynamic synergism and it also increases the risk of developing acute hypertensive episodes

    Almotriptan

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of Linezolid increases the effect of almotriptan by decreasing its metabolism

    Alfentanil

    Use alternative drugs because the use of linezolid increases the toxicity of alfentanil by an unknown mechanism and it also increases the risk for developing hypotension, hyperpyrexia, somnolence, or death

    Drug-Food Interaction

    By using this medicine with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats, and some types of beer should be avoided for better effectiveness of the medicine.

    Pulmocef LZ Tablets consist of Cefuroxime Axetil 500mg and Linezolid 600mg is used to treat bacterial infections such as Urinary tract infection, Sinusitis, Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis, Lower respiratory tract infections, Otitis media, Skin and soft tissue infections, Bacterial septicemia, Gonorrhea, and Lyme disease.

    Cefuroxime axetil is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used in the treatment of bacterial infection. Linezolid is an Oxazolidinone, Antibiotic used to treat bacterial infection by inhibiting the initial process of bacterial protein synthesis. It eradicates bacterial growth effectively.

    Drug-Drug Interaction

    BCG vaccine live

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of medicine decreases the effect of the BCG vaccine live by pharmacodynamic antagonism

    Cholera vaccine

    Use alternative drugs, because the use of the cholera vaccine with antibiotics may activate the vaccine strain. So, avoid receiving this combination of medicines before 14 days of vaccination

    Warfarin

    Use alternative drugs because the use of cefuroxime will increase the effect of warfarin by anticoagulation

    Estradiol:

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of cefuroxime will decrease the effect of estradiol by altering the intestinal flora and it also lowers the risk of contraceptive failure

    Albuterol

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of linezolid increase the effect of albuterol by pharmacodynamic synergism and it also increases the risk of developing acute hypertensive episodes

    Almotriptan

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of Linezolid increases the effect of almotriptan by decreasing its metabolism

    Alfentanil

    Use alternative drugs because the use of linezolid increases the toxicity of alfentanil by an unknown mechanism and it also increases the risk for developing hypotension, hyperpyrexia, somnolence, or death

    Drug-Food Interaction

    By using this medicine with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats, and some types of beer should be avoided for better effectiveness of the medicine.

    Lab interactions

    It gives a False-positive test for coombs test, urine glucose test, and urine creatinine test.

    Drug-Disease Interaction

    Colitis

    This medicine kills the good helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. This drug should be used caution in patients with gastrointestinal disease, especially colitis (swelling of the colon inner lining). It leads to worsening the patient’s health condition.

    Kidney disease

    This medicine is filtered by the kidneys and passes through the urine. Then it leads to the risk of kidney damage. It should be used with caution in a patient with kidney disease. Inform your doctor and then take. Based on the patient's condition, dose adjustment is needed.

    Seizures

    Using this medicine is needs caution in patients with seizures or fits. Inform the doctor, then will do dose adjustment if necessary to take this medicine with seizure medications.


    Over Dose

    Take the medicine as directed by the doctor don’t overdose on the medicine. If you have taken an overdose of this medicine immediately meet the doctor and rush to the nearby hospital.


    Missed Dose

    Take the medicine as directed by the doctor. Do not skip the medicine, if you forgot to take the medicine or missed the dose. It is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Don’t take the extra dose take the regular dose immediately. Don’t use the two-dose at one time (Double Dose).

    • Stored at 10-30°C room temperature.
    • Protect from light and heat.
    • Keep away from children and pets. Otherwise, it becomes toxic to them.
    • Disposed of properly in a suitable bag.

    Cefuroxime Axetil 500mg is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used in the treatment of bacterial infection. Linezolid 600mg is an Oxazolidinone antibiotic used to treat gram-positive bacterial infection. It is used to treat serious gram-positive bacterial infections where other antibiotics include penicillin-resistant, MRSA prevalent areas, some VRSA, VRE are not able to treat bacterial infections. It is not treated for gram-negative bacterial infections.

    This medicine is not used for common flu and cold symptoms. And not treat viral infections. This medicine is commonly prescribed for cough and colds caused by bacterial infections.
