    Roxid S Tablet contains Roxithromycin 150mg and Serratiopeptidase 10mg used to treat any type of bacterial infections such as otitis media acute pharyngitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, urethritis, impetigo, cellulitis, sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhea. This medicine targets the respiratory tract, ear, nose, throat, lungs, and skin infections. Roxithromycin 150mg is a macrolide antibiotic that produces its action by inhibiting the growth of bacteria which is responsible for infections. Serratiopeptidase 10mg is an enzyme that helps to promote healing. The combination of this medicine prevents the growth of microbes which is responsible for the infection.

    Drug Interaction of Roxid S Tablet

    Drug-Drug Interaction

    BCG vaccine live

    The use of this medicine is contraindicated because the use of medicine decreases the effect of the BCG vaccine live by pharmacodynamic antagonism

    Cholera vaccine

    Use alternative medicine, because the use of the cholera vaccine with antibiotics may activate the vaccine strain. So, avoid receiving this combination of medicines before 14 days of vaccination

    Antithrombin 111

    Use alternative drugs because the use of antithrombin 111 increases the effect of roxithromycin by decreasing its metabolism.

    Digoxin

    Use alternative drugs because the use of roxithromycin increases the effect of digoxin by altering the intestinal flora

    Ceritinib

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of roxithromycin increase the effect of ceritinib by P-glycoprotein efflux transporter

    Cisapride

    Use alternative drug because the use of roxithromycin increases the toxicity of cisapride by QTc interval

    Colitis

    Myasthenia gravis

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of macrolide antibiotics trigger the symptoms of myasthenia gravis

    Liver disease

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of roxithromycin may cause hepatotoxicities like abnormal liver function, hepatitis, cholestatic jaundice, necrosis, and hepatic failure.

    QT prolongation

    Therapy should be administered with caution in patients who are having a history of bradyarrhythmia, proarrhythmic like uncorrected hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia because the use of roxithromycin itself may cause cardiac repolarization and QT interval.


    Over Dose

    Missed Dose
