    Sefuro CV 500mg/125mg Tablet contains Cefuroxime Axetil 500mg and Clavulanic Acid 125mg used to treat bacterial infections such as Urinary tract infection, Sinusitis, Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis, Lower respiratory tract infections, Otitis media, Skin and soft tissue infections, Bacterial septicemia, Gonorrhea, and Lyme disease. Mainly this medicine targets the ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and skin structures, blood, bones, joints, and urinary tract infections and is also used to prevent the infections that occur during surgery. Cefuroxime Axetil 500mg is an antibiotic that helps to fight against bacteria. Clavulanic acid 125mg is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that decreases resistance. The combination of this medicine helps to fight against the infection that is caused by bacteria. This medicine is not used for common flu and cold symptoms that occur due to viral infections. This medicine is commonly prescribed for cough and colds caused by bacterial infections.

    Drug Interaction of Sefuro CV 500mg/125mg Tablet

    Drug-Drug Interaction

    BCG vaccine live + Cefuroxime

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of Cefuroxime decreases the effect of the BCG vaccine live by pharmacodynamic antagonism

    Argatroban + Cefuroxime

    Use alternative drugs because the use of Cefuroxime will increase the effect of argatroban by anticoagulation

    Aluminum hydroxide + Cefuroxime

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of aluminum hydroxide will decrease the effect of Cefuroxime by increasing its gastric pH.

    Doxycycline + Cefuroxime

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of Doxycycline decreases the effect of Cefuroxime by pharmacodynamic antagonism

    Seizure disorders
