    Drug Interaction of Siropan 1mg Tablet

    Drug-Drug Interaction

    Anthrax vaccine + Sirolimus

    Sirolimus decreases the effect of the anthrax vaccine by pharmacodynamic antagonism. Immunosuppressants increase the risk of infection in combination with live vaccines

    Atazanavir + Sirolimus

    Atazanavir will increase the effect of sirolimus by affecting hepatic or intestinal enzymes. The use of this drug is contraindicated

    Conivaptan + Sirolimus

    Conivaptan will increase the effect of sirolimus by affecting hepatic or intestinal enzymes. The use of this drug is contraindicated

    Fluconazole + Sirolimus

    Fluconazole will increase the effect of sirolimus by affecting hepatic or intestinal enzymes. The use of this drug is contraindicated

    Adalimumab + Sirolimus

    The combination of this drug increases the effect of immunosuppressants and increases the risk of infection. Use alternative drug

    Anakinra + Sirolimus

    The combination of this drug increases the effect of immunosuppressants and increases the risk of infection. Use alternative drug

    Drug-Disease Interaction

    Infections

    Patients who are receiving immunosuppressants are at higher risk of developing bacterial, viral, fungal, and protozoal diseases. Therapy with immunosuppressants should be administered with caution in diseased patients.

    Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy

    The use of immunosuppressants may increase the risk of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy. Closely monitor the patient new symptoms of PML.

    Angioedema

    Patients who are taking sirolimus along with ACE inhibitors may have an increased risk of developing angioedema. Closely monitor the patient.

    Hyperlipidemia

    The use of sirolimus may increase serum cholesterol and triglycerides levels. Therapy should be administered with caution to the patients who are receiving both sirolimus and hyperlipidemic agent. Closely monitor the patient cholesterol and triglycerides level

    Liver diseases:

    Sirolimus metabolized in the intestinal wall and liver undergoes counter-transport from enterocytes of the small intestine into the gut lumen. Therapy should be administered with caution to the patient with hepatic impairment.

    Liver transplantation:

    The use of sirolimus is contraindicated to the patient who has undergone liver transplantation because there is no information regarding its safety and efficacy.

    Lung dysfunction:

    Patients who are receiving sirolimus are more prone to develop interstitial lung diseases like pneumonitis, bronchiolitis, and pulmonary fibrosis. Discontinue the drug if the patient develops interstitial lung diseases.

    Lung transplant:

    The use of sirolimus is contraindicated to the patient who has undergone lung transplantation because there is no information regarding its safety and efficacy.

    Renal dysfunction:

    Patients who are receiving both sirolimus and cyclosporine for a long duration are more prone to develop impaired renal function. Closely monitor the patient's renal function

    Missed Dose
