    Medical Description of Sofab LP Tablet

    Sofab LP Tablet consists of two antiviral combinations. This prescription medicine is used in the treatment of Chronic Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. It is used in combination with another medicine, to prevent the spread of HCV throughout the body. It should be taken in the adequate dose and duration. It should not be administered in children under 12 years of age. In case of adults, one tablet is prescribed to be taken every day for about 12 weeks.  It remains for 24hrs in our body. Continue the course of medications until the next visit of doctor.

    This medicine should be used with caution in patients with liver disease, kidney disease and are on dialysis treatment. Consult the doctor if you have any other health issues and taking medicines to treat them.

    Increase serum concentration by folic acid, Chondroitin sulfate, Clove oil

    Decrease serum concentration by St. John's Wort

    Metabolism is decreased by Tretinoin

    increase bradycardic activity by Amiodarone and beta-blockers

It is best to avoid eating grapefruit and drinking grape juice. It generally causes dizziness and instability thus it is advised not to be taken with alcohol.
