    Tafsure tablet contains Tenofovir Alafenamide 25mg. Tafsure (Tenofovir Alafenamide (25mg)) tablet is an antiviral medication. Tafsure tablet is a nucleoside analogue reverse transcriptase inhibitor used in the treatment of chronic Hepatitis B infection. Tafsure tablet is safely used in patients with hepatic decompensation. Before use of Tafsure tablet the patient needs to be checked for HIV infection. In case of HIV positive this medication will have to be used with other antivirals medicine. Tafsure tablet can be safely used in children above 12 years of age and adults.

    Tafsure tablet is a nucleoside analogue reverse transcriptase inhibitor used in the treatment of chronic Hepatitis B infection and in combination with other antivirals to treat HIV-1 infection. Tafsure tablet is used to treat adults and children above 12 years of age. If you have HIV your doctor will discuss which combination of medicines is best for you.

    Tafsure (Tenofovir Alafenamide (25mg)) tablet is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor that enters hepatocytes where it is converted to tenofovir by hydrolysis. Hepatocyte tenofovir is then phosphorylated into tenofovir diphosphate that incorporates themselves into the DNA strand thus stops the replication of viral particles.  Thus, the active HIV molecules and HBV virions become inactive and further reproduction and multiplication process is stopped.

    Tafsure (Tenofovir Alafenamide (25mg)) tablet is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor which has the active substance called tenofovir incorporates themselves into DNA strand and thus replication process of viral particle is terminated.     How to Take Tafsure 25mg Tablet

    Tafsure (Tenofovir Alafenamide (25mg)) tablet is taken orally with or without food.

    Tafsure tablet should be taken at a specific time every day.

    Don’t chew or break the tablet.         

    Swallow Tafsure tablet as a whole.

    In the case of HIV, Tafsure tablet should be taken with other antivirals.

    After therapy has been initiated, do not take more or less of this drug than prescribed or stop taking it without your physicians’ approval.     Use of Tafsure 25mg Tablet in Elderly Patients

    Tafsure (Tenofovir Alafenamide (25mg)) tablet has only been used in few patients 65 years or older. Dosage and usage are similar to adults. Discuss with your physician before usage.

    Over Dose

    Symptoms of overdose include dizziness, palpitations etc. Contact your doctor immediately.


    Missed Dose

    If you are treated with Tafsure (Tenofovir Alafenamide (25mg)) tablet for chronic hepatitis B infection you can take the missed dosage if you notice within 18 hours if you take them once a day. If it is more than 18 hours, then skip the dosage and take the next doses as usual.

    If you are treated with Tafsure tablet for HIV infection you can take the missed dose if you notice within 12 hours if you take them once a day. If it is more than 12 hours, then skip the dosage and take the next doses as usual.  Always take with other antivirals.

     Don’t take a double dose for a forgotten dose.
