    Tetralab 250mg Capsule contains Tetracycline 250mg used to treat bacterial infections such as Cholera, Chlamydia infection, Brucellosis, Rickettsilal infection, Bronchitis, Pneumonia, Upper respiratory tract infection, Urinary tract infection, Syphilis, Gonorrhoea and Acne vulgaris. Tetracycline is an antibiotic that kills bacteria and also helps to improve the symptoms and treat the infection. Mainly this bacterial infection targets the respiratory tract, lymph nodes, brain, skin and skin structures, intestines, genital tract, and urinary tract. This medicine is not used for common flu and cold symptoms that occur due to viral infections. This medicine is commonly prescribed for cough and colds caused by bacterial infections.

    Drug Interaction of Tetralab 250mg Capsule

    Drug-Drug Interaction

    BCG vaccine live

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of medicine decreases the effect of the BCG vaccine live by pharmacodynamic antagonism

    Aluminum hydroxide

    Use alternative drugs because the use of aluminum hydroxide decreases the effect of Tetracycline by inhibiting the GI absorption

    Atracurium

    Use alternative drug because the use of tetracycline increase the effect of atracurium by pharmacodynamic synergism and it also increases the risk of developing respiratory depression

    Ceftriaxone

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of tetracycline decreases the effect of ceftriaxone by its pharmacodynamic antagonism

    Estradiol

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of tetracycline decreases the effect of estradiol by altering the intestinal flora and it also lowers the risk of contraceptive failure.

    Methotrexate

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of tetracycline increases the effect of methotrexate by decreasing its metabolism

    It is better to give this medicine with iron and calcium supplements, at least a 3 to 4 hours time gap is necessary.
