Tiniba 800mg Infusion contains Tinidazole 800mg used to treat severe bacterial and protozoal infections such as Amoebiasis, Trichomoniasis, Bacterial vaginosis, Giardiasis, and Prophylaxis of sexually transmitted diseases. Mainly this bacterial infection targets the liver, stomach, intestines, vagina, brain, heart, lungs, and skin. Tinidazole is antihelmintic which kills the parasites and anaerobic bacteria. This medicine is not used for common flu and cold symptoms that occur due to viral infections. This medicine is commonly prescribed for cough and colds caused by bacterial infections.

It is used in the treatment of the following conditions as bacterial and protozoal infections such as Amoebiasis, Trichomoniasis, Bacterial vaginosis, Giardiasis, and Prophylaxis of sexually transmitted diseases.

Fluorouracil

Use alternative drugs because the use of tinidazole will increase the effect of fluorouracil by decreasing its hepatic clearance

Acetaminophen

Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of acetaminophen increases the effect of tinidazole by affecting its hepatic and intestinal enzyme metabolism.

Warfarin

Therapy should be monitored closely because the use of tinidazole increases the effect of warfarin by anticoagulation

Drug-Food Interaction

The use of alcohol with Tinidazole may produce some disulfiram reactions such as flushing, throbbing in the head and neck, difficulty breathing, nausea, vomiting, sweating, thirst, chest pain, rapid heartbeat, lightheadedness, blurred vision, and confusion.
