Anaplastic astrocytoma
It is a rare type of brain tumor that develops in a star-shaped cell in the brain called astrocytes. It is caused by genetics, immune system abnormalities, and exposure to UV rays. Symptoms include headache, fatigue, seizures, memory loss, blurred vision, balance problems, and nausea and vomiting
Glioblastoma multiforme
It is an aggressive type of cancer that occurs in the brain and spinal cord. It affects mostly older adults. Symptoms include headache, nausea or vomiting, memory loss, confusion, difficulty in balance, urinary intolerance, blurred vision, speech difficulties, seizures, and irritability

The Tolmd 2.5mg Tablet is prescribed in the following indications as anaplastic astrocytoma and glioblastoma multiforme in adults. Temozolomide 2.5mg is used in the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme in children. It is used as an orphan drug in the treatment of glioma, metastatic melanoma, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and neuroblastoma.
Mechanism of action of Tolmd 2.5mg Tablet
Tolmd 2.5mg Tablet containing Temozolomide 2.5mg is an anti-cancer medication, an alkylating agent. It methylates guanine regions of DNA thus inhibiting the transcription process causing breaks in DNA and inducing apoptosis of abnormal cancer cells.

Tolmd 2.5mg Tablet containing Temozolomide 2.5mg is an anti-cancer medication, an alkylating agent. It produces its action by entering into the tissues present in the brain and it also works by damaging the DNA and RNA of the cancer cells which inhibit the growth and multiplication of cancer cells.
