    Tomdik-D contains Rabeprazole 20mg and Domperidone 10mg used to treat conditions like Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcer. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that helps to get relief from acid-related indigestion and heartburn in the stomach. Domperidone is an antiemetic agent that inhibits the chemical messengers that cause vomiting in the brain and intestine. The combination of this medicine decreases the acid secretion from the stomach and neutralizes the acid and reduces the discomfort of the stomach by easily passing the gas. Take the medicine on an empty stomach, preferably in the morning. Kindly avoid consuming spicy, fatty, and caffeinated drinks such as tea, coffee, and soft drinks. Don’t break, chew, or crush the capsule.

    How to Take Tomdik-D Tablet

    Drug Interaction of Tomdik-D Tablet

    Drug-Drug Interaction

    Erlotinib

    The use of this medicine is contraindicated because the combination of the anti-ulcer drug with erlotinib may alter the upper stomach Ph and decrease its metabolism of medicine.

    Atazanavir

    The use of rabeprazole decreases the effect of atazanavir by increasing the gastric Ph. Use alternative drugs also reduce the concentration of drug

    Methotrexate

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of rabeprazole increases the effect of methotrexate by decreasing its renal clearance. At a higher dose, it increases the risk of developing toxicity.

    Fluvoxamine

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of fluvoxamine will increase the effect of rabeprazole by affecting the liver enzymes.

    Ketoconazole

    Ketoconazole is an antifungal drug used to treat fungal infections. This medication requires an acidic environment in the intestine to be absorbed. This medicine with rabeprazole affects the absorption of the drug in the intestine.

    Antacids

    Antacids containing aluminum and magnesium are used for indigestion. This medicine alters the action of antacids. It is better to give this medicine at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after taking antacids. Kindly consult with your doctor

    Drug-Food Interaction

    By using this medicine with food should be maintained time gap at least 1 hour before the meals for better effectiveness of the medicine.     By long-term use of this medicine leads to developing hypomagnesemia (low magnesium levels), which leads to developing dizziness, shivering, muscle pain, irregular heartbeat, seizures, or fits.     Heart problems

    For the patients with a heart problem, caution should be taken before taking the medicine otherwise leads to heart-related problems such as heart failure, etc which leads to the patient's conditions most worsening.     Over Dose
