Mechanism of action of Trisetron Tablet

Pantoprazole acts on the final step of gastric acid secretion; it blocks the acid releasing gastric parietal cells of the stomach. The Parietal cell of the stomach contains H+/K+ ATP Pumps, which help in acid secretion. Pantoprazole inhibits acid production by blocking these H+K+ ATP pumps. This action will last up to 24 hours. In between, more pumps will be produced by the stomach. This indicates the need to take the next dose to prevent the acid production in the stomach.

Ondansetron is a serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonist that prevents nausea and vomiting by inhibiting the action of serotonin (a natural substance).
