    Vanlid 250mg Capsule contain Vancomycin 250mg used to treat severe bacterial infections caused by gram-positive bacteria such as Clostridium difficile associated diarrhea, Enterocolitis, Endocarditis, Bone and joint infections, Skin and skin structure infections, Bacterial septicemia, and Surgical prophylaxis and it also used to treat bloody diarrhea which rarely occurs after the overuse of antibiotics. It is used to treat serious bacterial infections where other antibiotic includes penicillins and cephalosporins are not able to treat bacterial infections. Mainly this bacterial infection targets the lungs, skin and skin structures, bone and joints, heart, blood.  Vancomycin is an antibiotic that produces its action by inhibiting the growth of bacteria (Clostridium difficile) which is responsible for the infection. This medicine is not used for common flu and cold symptoms that occur due to viral infections. This medicine is commonly prescribed for cough and colds caused by bacterial infections.

    Drug-Drug Interaction

    BCG vaccine live

    The use of this drug is contraindicated because the use of medicine decreases the effect of the BCG vaccine live by pharmacodynamic antagonism

    Bacitracin

    Use alternative drug because the combination of this drug may increase the risk for developing nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity

    Dichlorphenamide

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the combination of this drug may decrease the serum potassium level.

    Digoxin

    Therapy should be administered with caution because the use of vancomycin will increase the effect of digoxin by altering the intestinal flora.

    Estradiol
