Vil-GM 500 Tablet is an anti-diabetic drug used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus to the patient who cannot control the diabetes by diet and exercise. Consume the tablet before the meals. It is the combination of Vildagliptin and Metformin. Combination of this drug lowers the blood sugar level by increasing the amount of insulin which is released by pancreas and lowers the hormone that raise blood sugar level and it also reduce the production of glucose in the liver and delay the glucose absorption from intestines

Mechanism of action of Vil-GM 500 Tablet
It is the combination of two medicines
Metformin is an biguanide produces it action by decreasing the production of hepatic and GI glucose absorption, it also increase the insulin sensitivity
Vildagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor it produces it action by inactivating the incretin hormones like glucagon-like peptide-1 and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide and it also prolong the incretin activity in response to ingestion of nutrients.

Ethanol + Metformin

Ranolazine + Metformin
