    Virol tablet contains Abacavir 300mg. Virol (Abacavir (300mg)) tablet is an antiviral medicine used in the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)-1 infection. Virol tablet is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. Virol tablet works by acting on reverse transcriptase which is required for HIV active particles multiplication process thus reduces viral load of HIV in your body. Virol tablet is used in combination with other antiviral HIV medications.

    Virol (Abacavir (300mg)) tablet is used to treat adults and children above 3month of age who are infected by HIV. Virol tablet must be taken in combination with other anti-HIV medicines. Your doctor will discuss which combination of medicines is best for you.

    Virol tablet contains Abacavir. Virol (Abacavir (300mg)) tablet is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor that is phosphorylated into carbovir triphosphate. Carbavir triphosphate battle with active viral molecules and incorporate themselves into the DNA of HIV molecular structure. After they incorporate within the DNA of HIV molecule the further process such as transcription, reverse transcriptase enzyme is inhibited.     How to Take Virol 300mg Tablet

    Virol (Abacavir (300mg)) tablet is taken orally with or without food.

    Virol tablet should be taken at a specific time

    Don’t chew or break the tablet.

    Swallow Virol tablet as whole.

    Virol tablet must be taken with other antivirals.

    After therapy has been initiated, do not take more or less of Virol than prescribed or stop taking it without your physicians’ approval. Skipping or changing Virol tablet dose without approval would increase the viral load making the infection more difficult to treat, or worsen side effects.     Virol (Abacavir (300mg)) tablet has only been used in few patients 65 years or older. Dosage and usage are similar to adults. Discuss with your physician before usage.

    Efficacy of Abacavir is decreased by - methadone

    Metabolism of Abacavir is increased by - phenytoin

You can take the missed dosage if you notice within 12 hours if you take them once a day. If it is more than 12 hours, then skip the dosage and take the next doses as usual. Always take with other antivirals and food Don’t take a double dose for a forgotten dose.
